#BBW-Texas is an open channel, which means most things you might get kicked for in other channels do not apply in ours.  While we are very tolerant, we do have a few guidelines for the good of all.  We want all of our users to have the best experience possible.

Because of the nature of our chat, you must be 18 years of age or above to participate.

First, please understand that IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is not a democracy.  It is up to the ops in each channel to decide how the channel is run and who stays or goes.  So, above all else, if an op says to stop your behavior, you should stop. =)

You may be warned/kicked/banned for:

1.  Fat-bashing and/or racial slurs.

2.  Illegal sex channels. We do not allow our users to be in illegal sex channels while in ours.  These channels involve sex with children and child porn, incest, rape, murder, and/or animal sex.  All others are allowed.  If you wish to frequent those channels, please leave them while chatting in #BBW-Texas.

3.  Personal attacks.  Our users (especially BBWs) do not come in to our channel to endure abuse and rude behavior towards them, even if you feel it is a joke.  If you have a problem with someone, feel free to privately message them, but do not attack someone in channel.  It is up to the discretion of the ops to determine when someone is joking and when it is not welcomed.  Non-compliance with this rule will not be tolerated.

4.  Flooding the channel by pasting text or flooding by pasting private messages.  It will be deemed a flood if it involves more than 5 lines.  Most users don't really care to see what you are chatting about in private.

5.  Pop-up abuse. Pop-ups are allowed. However, abusing the use of them with large pop-ups or several pop-ups in a row can hinder and sometimes even halt channel chat.  Pop-ups should be no more than 5 lines long.  We are also not a pop-up testing channel - please create your own channel to test your pop-ups.

A note on Ban evasion:  A ban is placed for a reason, and is essentially a time-out for breaking the guidelines.  Letting you back in is up to the op that placed the ban.  Deal with the op that banned you, and don't expect ops you may consider "friends" to unban you - ops know not to remove bans placed by others.  If you evade a ban, a new, more severe ban will be placed for a longer duration.  Take your time-out like an adult, and learn from it.

We do not kick/ban for private messages.  If you are being harassed in private message, please use the /ignore command to ignore that user.  Things that happen in open channel are issues for the entire channel and that is what we are concerned with and will handle.  Private messages are not open channel issues.

If you have questions regarding these guidelines, please message an op in channel and they will answer your questions or point you towards someone who can.  Your feedback is important to us!
